Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ This was my first cozy fantasy and I was not disappointed! If you're looking for something sweet and simple, with low stakes and solvable problems, this is a happy little story for you. Did it completely wow me? Not exactly, but I was pleasantly entertained throughout. Make no mistake, this is a very satisfied three stars. Excellent for a feel-good story.

Overview:

Viv is done questing. She's a battle-hardened orc who has had her fill of bashing skulls and now she wants a simple, quiet life centered around coffee. Problem is, she's endeavored to set up a cafe in a town that has never heard of coffee. But don't fear, Viv has a good, stalwart character and she's not afraid to persevere through a series of unfortunate mishaps and one major setback.

Why It's Worth Reading:

There's a lot to love about this little story. The characters are lovable, easy to root for, and have relatable problems. There is magic and whimsy but nothing is overly-complicated. What I appreciated most was how the author made everyday problems interesting enough that I kept wanting to read the next chapter. I was invested in ordering the coffee machine, finding the building materials, and enticing the customers. Most of all, I seriously needed to know what Thimble would bake next. The author envelops you into a world of warm smells, cozy atmospheres, and lovable companions.

If you're looking for something adorable to make your heart happy, this is a book for you.
